Wiltshire is well connected with the Great Western Mainline connecting London Paddington with Swindon, Chippenham and the north of the county, along with the services travelling to the West Country cutting through the centre of the county calling at Pewsey and Westbury.
The south of the county has links to London Waterloo and Exeter, calling at Salisbury and Tisbury. Crossing the county from North to South, trains travel from the South Coast to South Wales, connecting Warminster, Westbury, Trowbridge and Bradford-on-Avon.
The ‘Trans Wilts’ line is also one of Wiltshire recent success stories. With the line connecting Swindon to Westbury, calling at Trowbridge, Melksham and Chippenham, the line – reopened in 1985 – has grown from one daily one coach line to a busy commuter line.
